WHO ARE WE

Driving Insight, Innovation, and Transformational Impact

Future Africa Concern Institute (FACI) is an African consulting firm working with institutions operating in complex policy, governance, and organisational environments. We support decision-makers by engaging directly with uncertainty, institutional constraints, and the realities that shape how change happens in practice. FACI operates as a thinking and advisory practice. Our work is grounded in close attention to context, institutional dynamics, and the political and social conditions within which decisions are taken.
Our Thinking

We approach consulting as a process of problem-framing before problem-solving. Our work begins with careful analysis of evidence, assumptions, and operating environments to ensure decisions are informed by a clear understanding of what is actually at stake.

Our Institutional Lens

We view organisations as institutional systems shaped by rules, incentives, leadership, and culture. This lens allows us to engage beyond formal structures and consider how internal dynamics influence performance, reform, and sustainability.

Our Strategic Lens

We engage at the level of strategic choice rather than technical fixes. Our approach recognises trade-offs, constraints, and competing priorities, supporting institutions to make deliberate decisions aligned with their long-term objectives.

Our View of Context

We work with a strong awareness of political, social, and risk environments. Our perspective reflects how power, uncertainty, and contestation shape outcomes, and why context matters as much as technical design.
